THE MEDALLION STORY
Our story begins with the accumulation of over two decades of experience working in the Oncology marketplace - on the manufacturing side, in non-CME medical education and communication, in CME, in the product and services distribution world – engaged in activities such as launching cancer products, developing brand marketing strategies, educating physicians and ancillary healthcare professionals on existing therapies and evolving therapeutic approaches, driving revenue, creating community practice business solutions, re-positioning and re-branding cancer products.
Our founder experienced the pros and cons of partnering with many competent agencies and vendors; always struggling to find an agency partner that consisted of people with a true commitment to the oncology space and real world experience launching products and driving revenue. Having managed through these ups and downs, our founder had a vision... Our founder began to visualize an agency that could meet all oncology marketers needs. Let’s bring together a diverse group of individuals who are service-minded and committed to developing world-class solutions to challenging oncology marketplace issues and opportunities; people who have spent their careers working for manufacturers in marketing, launching products, changing demand lines, and solving some of the most complex issues ever faced; people who are deeply connected in the community and have real relationships with key decision-makers and scientific thought-leaders; people who understand that at the end of every decision is: A patient…A milestone…A key event.
Having lost both of his parents to cancer, our founder has firsthand knowledge of the impact a cancer diagnosis can have on all people who touch a cancer patient. A cornerstone of his vision was to assemble a team with individuals who have worked for agencies and created disruptive and award winning campaigns targeting providers, patients, payers and other key stakeholders, and who take the fight against cancer personal. In addition to these professional attributes, value the diverse personal characteristics people bring to the team such as their faith, ethnic diversity, resiliency, perseverance, commitment to process and excellence.
Out of this vision was the birth of Medallion and the healthcare component of this growing agency – the rest of our story is still evolving, so stay tuned.
